WWII Late War C Ration – Breakfast, Dinner & Supper
FULLY EDIBLE • REUSABLE • REFILLABLE • HISTORICALLY DETAILED
Experience the final wartime evolution of the legendary WWII C Ration with our Late War C Ration Meal Sets, available in Breakfast, Dinner, Supper, or a complete Full-Day Set.
Each individual meal includes two cans – one B Unit and one matching M Unit. The Full-Day Set includes all three meals for a total of six cans.
Unlike reproductions that stop at the packaging, both our B Units AND M Units contain fully edible contents. Our reusable entrée cans contain freeze-dried meals that can be prepared simply by adding water.
No empty M Units. No arts-and-crafts project. No disposable modern pop-top cans.
Open it. Eat it. Clean it. Refill it. Use it again.
Our Reusable C Ration Cans
Beginning in 2025, Hero Rations introduced our reusable and refillable M Unit entrée cans, allowing us to produce a reproduction C Ration where both halves of the meal are edible while the primary packaging can be retained and reused.
Our C Ration cans are manufactured to match the dimensions and seamed construction of original WWII cans but are specially designed to open from the top and reclose rather than being destroyed when opened along a scored seam.
The details don't stop with the dimensions.
Our late-war cans feature:
- Correct WWII-style dimensions and construction
- OD lacquered finish
- Lithographed markings – no stickers or decals
- Period-style reverse die date stamping
- Removable/reclosable tops
- Reusable and refillable construction
- Fully edible contents
The result is a ration that looks at home in a WWII display but can actually be opened, eaten, refilled, and taken back into the field.

BREAKFAST
Ham, Eggs, and Potatoes M Unit + Coffee B Unit
The Late War Breakfast B Unit comes in our correct-sized, OD lacquered reproduction can with lithographed lid and reverse die date stamping modeled after originals.
Inside are four historically reproduced C Ration biscuits, based on 1943 Quartermaster Corps documentation and original examples in our collection. They are made with ingredients including flour, invert sugar, sucrose, soda, malt powder, shortening/lard, milk powder, and salt and reproduced with the appropriate dimensions and hole pattern.
A period-style glassine or paper separator rests above the biscuits to separate them from the remaining contents.
Also included:
- Foil-laminate soluble coffee sachet containing real instant coffee
- Glassine envelope of candy-coated peanuts with reproduction markings
- Compressed granola cereal disc in cellophane
- Four reproduction Domino sugar cubes or a reproduction Domino/Jack Frost 1 1/5 oz. granulated sugar package
Our reproduction sugar cubes feature the appropriate tablet-style shape and period-inspired paper packaging with tabbed opening.
The accompanying Ham, Eggs, & Potatoes M Unit contains a freeze-dried Ham & Eggs entrée.
Just add water – preferably hot – stir, rehydrate, and enjoy.
DINNER
Spaghetti & Meat Sauce M Unit + Lemon Juice B Unit

Eat What WWII Soldiers Ate
Since 2020, Hero Rations has specialized in historically detailed, fully edible reproduction military rations for collectors, reenactors, museums, living historians, and military-history enthusiasts.
We use original ration examples, period photographs, Quartermaster documentation, and other historical references to reproduce not just the appearance of these rations, but the experience of opening them.
Across our product line, we've sourced or recreated hundreds of different components and ingredients from around the world – from biscuits, candies, beverages, and canned goods to the tiny glassine, cellophane, foil, and paper packages that made up the original ration.
Our goal isn't simply to make something that looks like a WWII ration from the outside.
We want you to be able to open it.
Handle it.
Prepare it.
And eat it.
Perfect For
- WWII reenactors
- Living-history events
- Military collectors
- Museums and educational displays
- WWII vehicle displays
- Film and photography props
- Historical demonstrations
- Military ration collectors
- Anyone who wants to experience a small piece of everyday WWII history
Important Biscuit Note
Our biscuits are packaged in a manner similar to the originals rather than protected with modern retail packaging.
Because of this, biscuits can occasionally crack or break during shipping.
This is also historically representative. Nearly every original period C Ration can we've opened has contained at least one broken biscuit.
Historical / Impression Note
This final major variation of the WWII C Ration appeared late in 1944.
For reenactors and living historians, this version is best suited for late-1944 through the end of World War II, making it particularly appropriate for winter 1944–45 and 1945 impressions.
