LATE WAR BREAKFAST - The late war breakfast B unit comes in the correct sized can with lithographed lid, OD lacquered, with reverse die date stamping just like originals. Inside are a set of four historically-accurate biscuits, produced according to 1943 QMC documentation for the recipe. These biscuits are made with different flours, invert sugar, sucrose, soda, malt powder, lard/shortening, milk powder and salt. They are made to the correct size and hole pattern as period examples in our collection. A small glassine or paper separator tops the biscuits like originals to separate the biscuits from the other contents in the can. Also inside is a laminate foil sachet of soluble coffee with period-correct packaging, a glassine envelope of candy-coated peanuts with correct markings, one compressed granola cereal disc in cellophane, and four Domino sugar cubes or Domino or Jack Frost 1 1/5oz granulated sugar box. Period examples contained one or the other. Our packaging for the sugar cubes and the sugar cubes themselves are the correct tablet sized with exact design, paper with the tabbed opening. Also accompanying the B Unit is the M Unit. Our M Unit cans are designed just like the B Units. They come empty to be filled with contents of your choice – either at the time of use or a repackage can stored inside, or just left as is for display. If you want a particular M Unit let us know at checkout!

NOTES: Cans are sealed with food safe adhesive along the top rim. They can be resealed using your choice of adhesive. Biscuits can crack in transit. The period-correct packaging was not designed to keep them full intact and safe. Nearly every period can I’ve opened had at least one broken biscuit. Please see our other listings for more varieties of the B Units and M Unit sets!

IMPRESSION NOTES: These OD lacquered cans appeared in the second half of 1944, so would be ideal for late 1944 till the end of the war impressions.
